Topic: Anointed for Trouble

Text: Psalm 89:20–24, TLB
I have anointed him with my holy oil. I will steady him and make him strong. His enemies shall not outwit him…he will be great because of me.

A lot of times we’re trying to pray away all our troubles, pray away the challenges. But here’s the key: You’re not anointed from trouble; you are anointed for trouble. In Psalm 89, God says, “I’m anointing David for the trouble. His enemies will not get the best of him. I will push down his adversaries. He will rise to power because of Me.”

Stop telling yourself, “I can’t take this much trouble!” Have a new perspective. You don’t have to feel stressed out because it’s not happening your way. God will defeat your enemies. That sickness, that problem, that trouble at work will not get the best of you. Why? Because you’re anointed for trouble.

The Most High God says you will rise to power. That means you will see increase, promotion, healing, and blessing. The trouble is moving you to the next level of your destiny.

Prayer
Father, thank You that You anoint me for trouble and not from it. Thank You that You’re steadying and strengthening me, and the trouble will not get the best of me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
